"Train Him Well"

"A child is a person who is going to carry on what you have started. He is going to sit where you are sitting and when you are gone, attend to those things which you think are important. You may adopt all the policies you please, but how they are carried out depends on him. He will assume control of your cities, states, and nations. He is going to move in and take over your churches, schools, universities, and corporations - the fate of your nations is in his hands - so train him well." By Abraham Lincoln

Encouragement for Moms PDF Print E-mail

Moms I want to encourage you to make it a priority beginning this new school year to encourage other homeschool moms.  Whether you are a veteran homeschool mom or a new homeschool mom there is something you can say or do to encourage each other.  You can also be real and tell this person you need encouragement.  Be encouraged and be an encourager.

For new homeschool moms we are here to help you in anyway we can.  But we need to know how, so please let us moms know how we can help. Be encouraged to know that you are not alone and you can do this.

Fathers, please encourage each other too. Odd as it sounds sharing a struggle you have is an encouragement to you, because you will know that other parents have the same struggles you do.

Scriptures we used during the study were:

Matthew 11:29-30 “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden in Light.”

John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

James 5:16 “Therefore, Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so they may be healed...

In closing the BEING REAL slogan has become a bond (sometimes comical) between some of us homeschool moms.  I have caught myself telling some of my home school moms my struggles and saying, “Oh by the way I am being real.”  We laugh, but it is so freeing to be truthful.  One of the greatest benefits of BEING REAL is that we open the door for others to pray for us and healing begins.

I leave you with this Quote from Dinah Maria Muloch Craik:

“Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping and then, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.

HEAR moms be encouraged as you start the new school year, I am praying for you and God bless each of you.

If you would like a copy of Lies Homeschooling Moms Believe, email me.  In order to get the book for $4.99 I need a 20 book order.  Otherwise the book will be $8.00.

The special workshop Sept. 20th is going to be a wonderful encouragement for all homeschool moms especially for the ones with “special needs children”.
