Home Educators Association of Roxboro

    The Home Educators Association of Roxboro (HEAR) is a support group that has been organized for the reasons stated in the HEAR Support Group Profile and Statement of Purpose and Belief. HEAR is governed by a board of directors. Our organization consists of a president or presidents (Leaders), Finance Director, Secretarial Director, Communications Director, Fellowship Director, Programs Director, and Activities Director. These volunteers have coordinators serving under their position. All positions in the HEAR support group are voluntary. Though the board has final say in all issues, we value the input of all our members and encourage you to become active and vocal.

   We offer activities and enrichment classes to homeschool families. Responsibilities are shared among all members so that no one person or group of individuals are overburdened.

   We offer a lot of different opportunities to our families and their children. We invite you to choose the ones that are important to your family and your children. Membership is obtained by annual dues of $20 (non-refundable) and requires adherence to the principles of the HEAR Statement of Purpose and Belief.
