The HEAR Used Curriculum sale is coming up! This year, our annual sale will be on April 22, 2009 and held at the Youth For Christ Warehouse, 90 Danwin Lane in Roxboro, NC. The time will be between 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Plan now to attend and find some great bargains for next year! |

HEAR offers it's members the opportunity to participate in many annual events. These events include a graduation ceremony, daytime science fair, spelling bee, demonstration night, family field day, used curriculum sale and help for high school. Be sure to visit our "Coordinators" link to learn more about how these volunteers assist our HEAR members with all these annual events.

If you have a student that is a good speller and enjoys competing, the HEAR Spelling Bee is for your family. Each spring, homeschoolers gather for the thrilling competition. Prior to the event, a spelling word list is made available to those who register, giving the participating families time to prepare. Standard Spelling Bee guidelines are provided and enforced by the moderator. Ribbons are given to the winners and each participant receives a certificate. Be sure to watch for a registration announcement and get a head start on preparing your student to meet the challenge of becoming a spelling bee winner. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

HEAR graduation is a great time of the year for our homeschooling families. Each year HEAR provides the opportunity for member seniors to participate in a graduation ceremony. The excitement begins the first of the year as the graduation coordinator organizes meetings with the graduates and their parents. |

HEAR Used Curriculum sale is an exciting time for the homeschool parents as they come together with used school materials to sale. Each family sets up a table and prices their own materials. Parents work with each other as they buy and sell their materials. It is educational and informative for the parents to see what moms have used during the year. It is a time to get great bargains for the next school year. The sale is usually held in April or early May before the NCHE Conference. |
